OpenData Vibe Assessment: Lina Lee

Build a single-page web app (HTML/CSS/JS, no backend) that reimagines the NYC Open Data dataset page as an interactive workbench instead of a static metadata card.

Use the Socrata Open Data API (SODA) to pull live data from the NYC DCP Housing Database (dataset ID hg8x-zxpr on data.cityofnewyork.us).

Build these features:

  1. Auto-detect geo/date columns and default to a map view (Leaflet, CDN) plotting records by lat/lon, with a time-range slider filtering by filing date.
  2. Query builder panel — dropdowns for column, operator, value — that compiles to a SoQL $where clause, updates the map/table live, and generates a shareable permalink (encode filters in the URL).
  3. Lightweight chart builder — pick a "group by" column and an aggregation (count, sum), render a bar/line chart (Chart.js, CDN) beside the map.
  4. Freshness badge — compute "next expected update" from the dataset's stated update frequency vs. last-updated date, and show an overdue/fresh indicator.
  5. Table view toggle — fallback grid view with the same filters applied, paginated.

Keep it a single HTML file, CDN-only dependencies (Leaflet, Chart.js), clean minimal styling, no build step. Prioritize the map + query builder + chart as the core loop; freshness badge and table are secondary.
