The concept:
Turn NYC Open Data from raw tables into a one-click "neighborhood digest" — user enters an address, the app pulls this month's stats from a few datasets, and an LLM writes it up like a short local news brief instead of showing a spreadsheet.
Prompt:
Build a single-page HTML app "My Neighborhood This Month" on NYC Open Data's SODA API.
- Geocode the user's address, set 0.5mi radius, pull 311 Service Requests + Restaurant Inspections, comparing last 30 days vs. prior 30 days.
- Send aggregated stats (not raw rows) to an LLM; get back JSON:
{ headline, paragraphs (3-5, narrative style, citing dataset per stat), highlighted_stats: [{label, value, change_pct, dataset}] }.
- Render headline + narrative + small Chart.js sparklines per stat, plus a "share card" button that renders it as a downloadable image via Canvas.
Client-side only, no backend. Mobile-responsive, single HTML file, graceful fallback on missing data.
